Position Overview
We are seeking passionate and creative Game Designers to join our team at Alter Learning. As a member of our dynamic team, you will play a key role in designing and developing engaging games that revolutionize education.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to conceptualize and implement game mechanics, features, and user interfaces.
- Use research from scientists and lesson plans from educators to influence gameplay and design.
- Create and maintain design documents.
- Develop interactive, educationally focused experiences.
- Conduct playtests and gather feedback to iterate and improve game development.
Skills & Requirements
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Team working experience and strong collaboration abilities.
- Google workspace (G suite) professional usage knowledge.
- Ability to make clear Game Design Documentation .
- Proficiency in Unity or Unreal Engine.
- Bachelor’s degree in Game Design, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Passion for creating innovative and impactful educational experiences.
Bonus Skills
- Previously released games
- Experience in educational game development.
- Experience with VR/AR technologies and platforms.
- Familiarity with the mobile gaming industry.
- Familiarity with Trello (or similar workflow management software)
- Deep understanding of game production flows
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum
- Technical game design knowledge or programming experience
- 2D Concept Art or 3D modeling skills
