Position Overview
Alter-Learning is seeking a talented AI Developer to join our team and contribute to the development of AI-powered educational games and intelligent learning solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience designing, developing, and deploying AI applications, including machine learning models, generative AI solutions, and intelligent game mechanics. This role involves working closely with our game developers, software engineers, DevOps team, and instructional designers to create innovative AI-driven experiences that enhance learning outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement AI-powered features for educational games and learning platforms.
- Build, train, fine-tune, and optimize machine learning and generative AI models for educational applications.
- Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, and intelligent tutoring systems into Unity and Unreal Engine projects.
- Develop AI-driven gameplay mechanics, adaptive learning systems, and personalized educational experiences.
- Collaborate with game developers, designers, and backend engineers to integrate AI services into production environments.
- Optimize AI models for performance, scalability, and real-time inference across cloud and local environments.
- Develop APIs and backend services that support AI-powered features and analytics.
- Ensure responsible AI practices, including model evaluation, fairness, privacy, and security.
- Troubleshoot AI model performance, improve accuracy, and continuously optimize deployed solutions.
- Stay up to date with emerging AI technologies and recommend innovative solutions for educational products.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as an AI Developer, Machine Learning Engineer, AI Software Engineer, or in a similar role.
- Strong experience with Python and AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, or Hugging Face Transformers.
- Experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs), generative AI technologies, prompt engineering, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
- Knowledge of AI APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, Azure AI, or similar platforms.
- Experience developing REST APIs and integrating AI services into web or game applications.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Understanding of vector databases, embeddings, and semantic search technologies.
- Experience with Git and collaborative software development workflows.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Professional-level English proficiency.
Desired Skills
- Experience integrating AI systems into Unity or Unreal Engine projects.
- Knowledge of reinforcement learning, computer vision, natural language processing (NLP), speech recognition, or multimodal AI.
- Familiarity with MLOps practices, model deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud-native AI deployment.
- Background in educational technology (EdTech), educational games, or e-learning platforms.
- Understanding of Agile development methodologies and collaborative software development.
- Ability to communicate complex AI concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Passion for leveraging AI to improve education and student engagement.
