Position Overview
Alter Learning is searching for a talented WordPress Front-End Developer with strong experience in Elementor. Initially, you’ll work extensively with Elementor to design and implement user-friendly interfaces, but we are planning to transition to pure HTML and CSS in the future. This role is ideal for a developer who is passionate about creating visually appealing and highly functional websites and is eager to evolve their skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain WordPress websites, focusing on front-end design and user experience.
- Create custom layouts and designs using Elementor, ensuring responsive and optimized websites.
- Collaborate with the design team to translate mockups and wireframes into functional web pages.
- Optimize websites for performance, speed, and accessibility.
- Transition to using pure HTML and CSS for future projects, moving away from Elementor as needed.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and address any layout or design issues.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in web design, WordPress development, and front-end technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a WordPress Front-End Developer with a strong portfolio showcasing work with Elementor.
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, with the ability to create clean and maintainable code.
- Strong understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development.
- Familiarity with WordPress theme development and customization.
- Experience optimizing websites for performance and SEO best practices.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Desired Skills
- Experience with front-end frameworks, such as Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS.
- Knowledge of web accessibility standards and how to implement them.
- Understanding of UI/UX principles and best practices.
- Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
- Familiarity with CSS preprocessors like SASS or LESS.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Web Development, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Previous experience transitioning from page builders like Elementor to custom-coded solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
