Job Summary/Objective:
Alter-Learning Inc. is seeking a Screenwriter for an animated TV series based on a teen/young adult book series for a global audience.
Responsibilities:
- Develop original episodic scripts aligned with the series tone, themes, and visual style
- Collaborate with the creative team on plot development, character arcs, and world-building
- Attend virtual writers’ room sessions and respond to notes and revisions
- Ensure dialogue is natural, punchy, and suitable for animated performance
- Contribute to pitch documents, character descriptions, and lore development as needed
Qualifications:
- Proven experience writing for animated series, films, or multimedia storytelling
- Strong storytelling skills with an ear for snappy dialogue and a sense of pacing
- Familiarity with episodic structure and long-form narrative arcs
- Ability to interpret visual storytelling elements and write to match tone and mood
- Excellent communication and time management skills in a remote working environment
