Position Overview
Alter Learning is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Physics Teacher for high school or middle school levels to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to the development of educational content for our interactive games, ensuring that physics concepts are accurately represented and effectively integrated into the gameplay. Your expertise will help us create engaging and educational experiences that support students’ understanding of physics.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the development team to design and integrate physics concepts into educational games and interactive content.
- Review and provide feedback on game content to ensure scientific accuracy and alignment with educational standards.
- Assist in creating educational materials and resources that complement the physics content in our games.
- Participate in playtesting sessions to evaluate the educational value and accuracy of physics-related game elements.
- Provide insights and recommendations on how to enhance the representation of physics concepts in game design.
- Support various other areas as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to contribute beyond primary responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Certified high school or middle school teacher with a focus on physics.
- Strong understanding of physics concepts and their application in educational settings.
- Experience teaching physics at the high school or middle school level.
- Ability to translate complex scientific concepts into engaging and understandable game content.
- Enjoyment of games, both development and playing, with a minimal interest or knowledge in gaming preferred.
- Willingness to assist with other educational areas beyond physics.
