We’re seeking a results-driven Director of Operations to lead day-to-day operations and spearhead outreach to U.S. school districts, driving large-scale adoption of our platform.

Key Responsibilities
District Outreach & Partnerships
- Build strong relationships with school districts, including superintendents, curriculum coordinators, and district technology leads.
- Present Alter-Learning’s games to school boards and decision-makers, showcasing curriculum alignment and student engagement benefits.
- Negotiate and secure district-wide adoption agreements.
- Develop lasting partnerships for renewals, expansions, and referrals.
Operational Excellence
- Design, implement, and refine workflows, SOPs, and scalable processes to support school partnerships and game deployments.
- Oversee onboarding, training, and ongoing support for educators and district staff.
- Maintain clear, up-to-date operational documentation across all teams.
Department Enablement & Coordination
- Collaborate closely with department leaders to ensure they have the resources, systems, and cross-departmental support needed to meet their goals.
- Schedule and facilitate alignment meetings, remove operational friction, and streamline communication.
Growth Enablement
- Partner with Marketing and Product teams to execute go-to-market strategies targeting school districts, families, and education agencies.
- Monitor KPIs related to district engagement, adoption, and retention to inform continuous improvement.
Systems & Technology Integration
- Oversee implementation of core operational systems (CRM, analytics, project management tools) to boost efficiency and data accuracy.
- Ensure data integrity and interoperability across platforms.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with FERPA, COPPA, GDPR, and CCPA regulations.
- Maintain strong contractual controls with districts and partners in coordination with Legal.
Leadership & Stakeholder Support
- Translate strategic goals into actionable plans for the operations team.
- Prepare operational performance reports for the CEO, board, and investors as needed.
What You Bring
- Proven track record partnering with U.S. school districts (EdTech, curriculum, or educational services).
- Strong operational leadership experience in scaling organizations (8+ years in senior roles).
- Deep understanding of K-12 procurement processes, district decision-making, and compliance.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Passion for education, STEAM learning, and technology-driven innovation.
