Position Overview
We are looking for a Senior Game Producer to lead the development and delivery of multiple educational game projects. You will drive cross-functional collaboration between artists, developers, educators, and marketing teams—ensuring games are completed on time, on budget, and aligned with Alter-Learning’s vision of learning through play.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the full production lifecycle of educational games from concept to release
- Build and manage realistic production timelines and budgets
- Coordinate internal and external teams (design, development, art, education, QA)
- Prioritize features and content based on educational value and engagement goals
- Ensure each game meets pedagogical standards and platform requirements
- Identify and mitigate risks, resolve production challenges proactively
- Support funding proposals and investor-facing product presentations (if needed)
- Report progress and milestones to leadership on a regular basis
Skills & Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in game production or project management in the game industry
- Proven success shipping at least 2 commercial games (mobile, PC, or educational preferred)
- Strong understanding of game development pipelines and Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Ability to manage remote, cross-functional teams
- Passion for educational technology, child development, and gamification
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Trello, Unity, or similar engines/project tracking software
Bonus Skills
- Experience in the EdTech, nonprofit, or K–12 education sectors
- Background in instructional design or game-based learning theory
- Grant writing or pitch deck development experience
- Multilingual project management experience
